    An-Chi Cheng - Gift from God - be His Instrument I have a strong interest in drawing when I was little and throughout the years I acquired skills in textiles, computer design and teaching young children Arts and Crafts related subjects at high schools, primary schools and Sunday school. For many years I focused on developing my philosophy of life and transmitting it to my works. I know that in pursuing great creativity I need personal effort in acquiring knowledge developing skills, and also an environment where I can develop my proficiency in a professional art culture. I fell in love with applying Textiles techniques as well as using recyclable and a wide variety of materials into my art makings even though it is quite different from what I did before. With this different approach, I constantly challenge myself to draw or paint into different textile-forms. In my portraiture pieces I am always aiming to express the pain or joy, the sadness or solitude of being human. In Courage and Cowardice series, I hope to instill in the minds of the audience what it means to be brave, its nobility, its solidness, its power for good and the solly of cowardice, its uselessness, ...

    Richard Claraval - I've always been profoundly interested in the human figure, and in the representation of dynamic motion. My sculptures, drawings, and paintings revolve around these basic concerns, fussing the undistorted, non-truncated figure with various abstract forms. I'm mainly influenced by the Renaissance, Abstract Expressionism, and pure abstract sculpture such as that of Arp and Brancusi. It has long been exciting to me to think of the beautiful draperies of a Raphael painting, or Michelangelo's drawing of the risen Christ, as fused with their figures in a seamless integration. Similarly, I wish to see a beautiful Arp sculpture flowing with a beautiful human figure. My strongest inspiration comes from music, especially classical, and most especially Beethoven, though I am extremely fond of many other forms and composers. Richard Claraval 2009...

    Douglas A. Kinsey - When looking at my work the viewer should consider them as configurations of spiritual geography. In this manner I refer them as "Interior/Exterior Landscapes". The primary blue shape will refer to geological forms found in geographical landscape. As such they mark unspoken borders much like a rock cairn would. This marking indicates a place of spiritual solace and point of reflection. My intention is to explore the subconscious symbols of an'interior' spiritual reality when consecrated by the borders of'external' physical reality. ...

I paint like I build a sculpture using simple forms, lines and textures representing days, hours and archetypes such as: books, letters, numbers or primordial elements. The surface; canvas, wood, or paper is painted from dark to light, a technique used in the byzantine art. Using classical principles, the golden section, the structures of my compositions are based on rigorous diagrams of simple geometric figures. Considering that contemporary art is characterized by invention and experimentation, texture becomes an essential element of my paintings that comes naturally from the way the paste is applied, transparent layers of paint creating new surfaces.     Nicole Pereira - NICOLE PEREIRA Nicole Pereira is a young rising artist who started producing artwork at the young age of 4. Nicole noticed that she had a gift for art when her artwork was selected in her local public school and community art competitions. The local press also started raving about Nicoles work. With encouragement from her family and friends, Nicole now devotes all of her free time to paint abstract portraits that express her feelings and emotions. Originally, she started drawing realistic portraits of individuals and celebrities, but felt that she wanted to add more.     Nicole Pereira - Jyoti Puri - The smell and feel of colors seeps and soaks me in my own drawings. What a pleasure it is to be able to draw and express. A Gods gift indeed. Drawing a human figure inspires and gratifies me like nothing else. I do compose poetry in Hindi on and off. But like drawing poetry does not flow very often. I have traveled to varied destinations and thus got exposed to art, craft and literature of different countries and lands. It helped me to collect lots of experiences and in sight into different cultures and living styles.
