glass fused onto thin copper base.. many layers of chosen transparent and opaque colored glass.. either in crushed or finely ground form.. is to me like painting.. except, the heat in kiln also has a great!! 'say' in turn out of art piece.. I go with what core dictates.. in end.. beautiful art pieces.. Mine mostly very weighty for their size.. since glass design for me.. involves crerative processes.. which require adding glass.. like adding paint.. etc. etc.. I move glass into form.. with my hands and fingers mostly.. or my little cotton swab like 'tool'.. anything, that brings the art piece into completion.. This one.. as many of my works.. may be viewed several sides.. glass design, colors chosen, opaque or transparent.. this one has also pure silver leaf.. smiiile.. light will do the rest..
