  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Marc Crisafulli - Born and raised in suburban Maryland, I enjoy the freedom my computer allows me to take freelance work from all over the country. In 1992 I was offered a position on the original "Ren & Stimpy Show" at Spumco in Los Angeles. Other animation studios I've worked for have included Cartoon Network, Klasky Csupo, and Walt Disney TV Animation. I like the speed and precision programs like Adobe Photoshop can offer me, but that hasn't stopped me from working with traditional materials on a regular basis, including brush and ink, watercolor, colored pencils, and gouache. For many years I've been developing several original concepts and characters for a variety of venues and mediums. I did a great deal of illustration for the book Rough Draft: Pop Culture the Way It Almost Was...some examples of the Dr. Seuss work I did for the book can be found at the link below. Other illustration clients include The New York Press and several record covers for The Kung Fu Monkeys. While classic Hollywood cartoons have greatly influenced both my style and sensibilities, I readily admit to also being fascinated (and greatly inspired by) most popular culture, human behavior, children, ...

John Pangia - I've been drawing things, painting things, taking pictures of things, for as long as I can remember, and when software companies started developing 3D and paint programs I couldn't get into them fast enough. Anyone remember when you had to type line after line of code just to get your computer to say'HI' :)...

Rhoda Taylor - Every day I work in my studio and every day I look forward to creating artwork. Painting is my passion.... I wouldn't know what to do without it. The studio that I work in is situated on the grounds of our house in beautiful Southern Ireland, surrounding me are the mountains with their soft mists, the rolling hills and ancient coastline, it all fills me with happiness and inspiration, I can gaze from my window at the amazing views, the Atlantic ocean, fields, cattle, birds and trees, this truly is a mystical and magical place. Over the years I have worked with various mediums, glass painting, silk screen, oils, pen and ink, gouache and watercolour, but my ultimate choice is my pen and ink work which I truly adore, I know I can put into the paintings a tremendous amount of detail that would be almost impossible using another medium. I am fortunate to of had a lot of my work purchased and exhibited worldwide, England, Ireland, France, Germany, Malta, Hong Kong, Vienna, Japan, and America, with works including Portraiture, Design and Illustration, not to mention the countless private commission requests ranging from transforming memorable photographs into paintings for ...
