AIDS: The Futures Nuclear Prison was executed in 1985 and first exhibited at Nexus Foundation for Todays Art in Philadelphia when it was at 2017 Chancellor Street. It depicts three human figures emerging from birds nests in front of a world map. Over 300 red silk ribbons were suspended from the ceiling around these figures. Outside the gallery, several hunderd sparrows were nesting in a nearby wall of ivy. The sounds of these birds, in combination with the breeze moving the ribbons from an open door, gave the environment an errie feel. Note: This installation was done twenty years ago.
