In this photopainting, I became entranced by the movement and textures of the greenery. When I photograph nature, I shoot hundreds of images and select only one or two that have the energy that speaks to me, that begs to be seen and experienced. Tropical Patterns is one of these. The swaying of shadows and highlights on the leaves and ferns contrasts the colors and textures in a sensuous dance of nature's most basic energies. The plant spirits are very happy in the Rainforest at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida. Tropical Patterns: Ferns and Leaves is available here as a 12 x 12 inch fine art print, handsigned and printed on archival matte paper by me (artist). It is also available on canvas in custom sizes.
