Artwork Description:

This is a mixed media collage. Acrylic on canvas. 40'' x 30'' The cat symbolises a lack of worries in a world that is preoccupied by the next new thing. In my experiences as a teacher, one of those crazes was loom bands. Everyone rushes around, desperate to buy into this craze and sooner rather than later it is in the past. The cat itself is collaged newspaper, painted over with acrylics. Loom bands surround the nonchalant cat, completing the piece.
