Artwork Description:

No. 2 in my series, Hungarian Rhapsody--a whimsical nod to my Hungarian roots expressed as musical works. The Czardas is the folk dance of Hungary. Its name comes from the word for tavern. I can remember doing this dance at family weddings when I was a kid. The Hungarian folk costume has a skirt that is HUGE, with lots of petticoats--and my girl here is showing off hers this comes from an actual photo of this pose. Acrylics, found items, ruffle trim, paper collage, fabric and lace on canvas.
