This is 5 in my Famous Flirts series and depicts Gypsy Rose Lee 1911-1970 , arguably the world s most famous burlesque striptease artist, with her performances always emphasizing the tease and less on the strip. She was the subject of the very famous Broadway musical Gypsy, which starred Natalie Wood in the movie version. This piece has well over 200 3mm tiny hot pink rhinestones--each glued on meticulously one by one—in addition to large rhinestones as her headpiece and necklace, marabou feathers and 2 sparkly vintage rhinestone pins.
