Rusted Lace 6 is a continuation of the ongoing Rusted Lace series. The ground is a whole cloth textile that has been hand dyed using turquoise and fuchsia. Scientific iron filings and butcher paper were used to rust the unique design onto the ground. Dense hand stitching in a radiating pattern create the shadow and light play across the artwork. The stitching also gives the piece visual and physical texture. The artwork is designed to be displayed in either a horizontal or vertical orientation.
