Artwork Description:

FULL TITLE IS, Church In Lama dei Peligni Abruzzo with Purple Sky. I hand printed and published this edition at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector a wide range of personal choice in both mat selection and framing. The etching is shipped in a sturdy cardboard box. The artwork is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine tissue and then placed between two archival boards, which are fastened together. Next, this packet is placed into the professional shipping carton, which is also packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, and the coast of the shipment box. Mailing costs are added. This intaglio etching also used the Chine colle technique to add color to the print via the use of mulberry bark paper treated with methyl cellulose. Black oil-based etching inks, all Charbonnel brand from France, was printed on RivesBFK white Paper. This image depicts a small church in the Italian village of Lama dei Peligni, which is located in the Province of Abruzzo, east of Rome on the Adriatic Coast in central Italy. Visual elements of my etchings include a play of shadow and light to manipulate the optical effects via texture, and, a hard edge use of both line and geometric form in my design. The intimate image size is 5 inches high by 4 inches wide. The print, or paper, size is 10 inches by 9 inches high. This etching has 4 editions each limited to only 5 prints. size is 9 inches high. The church is named after Saint Nicolas.
