This original work, which combines etching and watercolor painting, was hand printed and published by the artist at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector personal choice in mat selection and framing. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. This works original scene was adapted from a photograph catalogued in The Washington D. C. Library of, Collection of G. EricEdith Matson. The photo was taken between 1898 and 1914 and depicts the ceiling of the colonnade from the ruins of the Temple of Bacchus in Baalbek, Lebanon. This image size is 10 inches high by 8 inches wide. The print size is 16 inches high by 12 inches wide. Media also included etching ink, Thai mulberry bark paper, watercolors, gouache, and Japanese watercolors with metallic pigments. The work was executed on Rives BFK white paper from France. Part of the artists profits go to support the Social Welfare Programs at The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral near Drexel University and The University of Pennsylvania.
