Artwork Description:   There s something about mandalas that I love. They invoke a feeling of calm in me as I gaze at their symmetrical shapes. This mandala was inspired by the tesserae used to create it. The Italian glass tesserae in this piece are artworks in themselves, and they reflect the light so the colours change slightly as the light changes, adding to the mystique of the artwork. The gold tesserae in this piece are especially reflective of the surrounding light. All my creations are one-off artworks and come with a certificate of authenticity. This ready-to-hang mosaic is mounted on timber and weighs 12.3 pounds 5.6 kg. It is finished with heavy-duty, triple-fastened strap hangers and stainless steel wire for hanging.
