Artwork Description:

YESS... HARDLY ANY GLARE.. COLORS ALMOST .. TRUE. LAYER WITH MELON ORGANGE, ORANGE SUNSET AND LICHEN GREEN.. QUILL WHITE AND RUBY RED (which I will soften next time or undo.. meaning.. put another opacque hue over it. before it goes in the kiln for l minute).. Worked on net(ripped the one up, instructor-technician Dolly gave me) and after wetting it, so it stays put on the glass beneath, placed it on previous applied and fired glass, in pieces. Sifted the mentioned colors in glass powder softly sweeping motion, over it. then did the figure in center again. Shaped other abstract appearing design on right, and pushed the netting design in flow, until I felt balanced with the results.. Also the lines, on left, outside the netting, with free hand movement- moving glass powder in thinner line.. both create perspective ... depth I wanted. Then in the kiln. Glenn Briggs, Great glass artist ,is so kind to assist with that. Mentioned previously on portfolio,my wrists are not that strong any more .. glass is weighty .. and the heat, that emits the kiln, when opened, hurts my sensitive facial skin.. Also keep forgetting, to put my long hair up and too much in want ,to go on creating, so I cannot get close to kiln (rule, when close to kiln.. cause hair can light up in heat and burn, like a little witch.. only this one does not like hair burnt. Would not recognize self, nor you, me..). Well.. After doubts, it will come out again - meaning the glass work, not me-- with disappeared shapes and form or color.. I noticed, and so did the enthusiastic others.. My design stayed intact.. orange hues not harsh (layer fine quill white over it).. and all in all, very nice ;-). Let it cool off.. and started lichen green on left, bottom and a little in right.. just to see.. felt good this color hue.. also created other figure, you see it softly white outlined, in right, behind center image.. The beautiful fire of life, red orange core, in bottom left.. plus leaves.. More work around the entry/exit arch, softened... satisfied. Was mentioned, piece looked etherial- next time, will see. Also will work on other piece from last week. No idea, where either will go from here.. but anticipation.. always a good thing, in many creative situations.. smile now ....... in anticipation?. or expectation... Hm.. Will see.. . Have to think that one through. Lips faster than.. thought?..'Nee....' ;-).. WAIT, just a minute........... let's see again... STOP. I JUST NOTICE.. CANNOT BELIEVE, I MISSED IT.. THE TAIL.. PART OF SKIN AS IF FROM DRAGON.. OR FISH.. OR SNAKE SKIN.. MAYBE I feel, I can go with that, next time. ADD: August 9, at 9:37 a. m. Just looked at it again. Do this a lot with my in progress art pieces.. Noticed, I could create middle, as if pupil/eye .. of snake, or dragon.. or other .. and the images inside would point to reflections mirrored within the eye.. HM.. tempting.. approach of different direction..
