Artwork Description:
... yeahh.. still on burn-out from months of fishes 5 piece work.. still feel, I need to do something different.. just did not click.. what I really 'want' additional.. or as change.. actually is as piece
done.. but.. the biig BUT.. and the mounting.. I want it to hang.. no solution yet.. that is unique to me..
WELL.. I started this one.. two x 3 1/2 hrs. workshop on it already.. lot of colored glass.. this time stuck
with 'transparent' hues of glass powder.. an experience.. and pain in the you know what.. in the fire all my meticulous design lines and hues go 'bye-byes'.. and I have to restart .. and re-think..
Without Dolly (instructor) who gives me valuable info. (she's the tech-whiz) and Paulines patient pointing, helpful reminders, of what I should by
now know.. and keep forgetting..(the stuff I have to do besides creating.. so I will be able to- create-- (this 'lady' is my best long time friend and she does great glass on copper works!), Glenn, Friend, Great Fused glass artist (had real worth remembering
exhibit with him couple of years ago at the then FAA in Fontana, Cal. and also great exhibit at City Hall Council Foyer which is also 'walk through Gallery) He is also glass on copper artist.. as well
as Alans help.. with his genuine mannerism and informative ways, and strong arms- to put my work
in the bigger kiln (wrists of mine are not that strong).. and Don.. who does glass on copper works and glass jewelry, which sells !- With his
humor and tips, as well as strong arms-- also helps off and on, to fire my stuff.. I just would never get ahead (of self.. 'piddle' details etc...) and finish my works.. Have to mention 'Lori', Dons so very friendly wife, who participates at this workshop.. and makes besides glass on copper works also great coffee..
and even places it next to, or reminds me of fresh
brew.. which I appreciate.... Well.. to my work now. this one here.. is subtle ... soft.. in back ground.. pleasant to view.. and touch ;-) ... You notice the darker lines.. which are strong and protude (may they not burn away in the kiln.. must underfire..) and a beautiful not too dark blue.. will hopefully look a little bit more symbolic next 'try'.. with areas outlined filled in different hues.. maybe.. the figure in middle will be 'followed'.. doubt it.. never know.. In the end.. the fire guides.. where to go.. just at present.. no beautiful fishes...
