Clifford Snyder - I was born in St. Louis Mo. but raised in Washington State near Seattle. Growing up on the shores of Puget Sound under the shadow of Mt. Rainier all of nature was my teacher as it still is today. The son of a sign painter and artist my professional schooling began at young age, while working with my father in his sign shop I had all the material I needed to explore my interest. From my father I learned allot of the tricks of design and spacing as well as some techniques such as serigraphy and gold leafing that I still use today. I attended college in Washington State and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Central Washington University in 1982. After graduating from college I decided to continue my education through travel. My travels have taken me as far north as Anchorage Alaska to as far south as Morelia, MichoacA!n in Mexico where I lived for a year studying mural painting, sculpture and Spanish and getting to know the people and cultures by working and living among the locals. I love Mexico and have been back to visit for work and pleasure a half a dozen ...
Rhoda Taylor - Every day I work in my studio and every day I look forward to creating artwork. Painting is my passion.... I wouldn't know what to do without it. The studio that I work in is situated on the grounds of our house in beautiful Southern Ireland, surrounding me are the mountains with their soft mists, the rolling hills and ancient coastline, it all fills me with happiness and inspiration, I can gaze from my window at the amazing views, the Atlantic ocean, fields, cattle, birds and trees, this truly is a mystical and magical place. Over the years I have worked with various mediums, glass painting, silk screen, oils, pen and ink, gouache and watercolour, but my ultimate choice is my pen and ink work which I truly adore, I know I can put into the paintings a tremendous amount of detail that would be almost impossible using another medium. I am fortunate to of had a lot of my work purchased and exhibited worldwide, England, Ireland, France, Germany, Malta, Hong Kong, Vienna, Japan, and America, with works including Portraiture, Design and Illustration, not to mention the countless private commission requests ranging from transforming memorable photographs into paintings for ...
Stacie Raglione - Stacie is a self-taught artist from central New Jersey and has had a passion for art since childhood. It wasnaEURtmt until semi-retiring from a long successful career as an infantchild mental health therapist professor that she entered the art world. She quickly discovered the excitement and beauty of painting with ink, in particular alcohol inks on different substrates. Being told by many other artists that this type of ink was not applicable for painting caused Stacie to dig deep and push the limits of this medium and she developed a technique to paint large vibrantly colored flowers that appeared to have intricate yet shaggy details that were favorably noticed by artists and collectors alike. Eventually fellow artists and followers coined her as the painter of shaggy flowersaEUR and many sought to learn her technique used to create the flowers and viewers sought purchase of works. Stacie continues to experiment with the many creative applications of this relatively new medium, producing a broad range of painted subject matter that to date have found great appeal to viewers and collectors. Stacies works hang in private homes and public/private institutions in the trip-state area and have sold to ...
Alexey Klimov - ARTIST STATEMENT I think that absolute freedom in art is no more than a mirage. Like a vanishing point, not only it is not achievable, but also constant strive for being totally uninhibited fundamentally contradicts the very nature of art. I discovered that by trying to free myself I instead only created un-freedom within, but at the same time I recognized it as a blessing because this un-freedom, to my great surprise, flowered into my very own freedom. I built my personal space inside it, I fenced in all I was made of and then I gladly confined myself into this space and opened all the windows to share whataEURtms inside with others. This is the moment of great joy for me because this space has never existed before I have created it. Not unlike theater, my work attempts to counterpart outside reality with no ambition to compete with it. It is just a window into my parallel world, my very own, not so little Universe. ...
