Katalin Luczay - Painting to me is an expression, interpretation, and appreciation of the world around me. In my opinion any art should inspire and elevate the human spirit. These types of art works are immortal, such as the works of the old masters. In my paintings I strive to achieve these ideals. I would describe my works as related as representational realism. In my seascapes I bring many different colors together to illustrate the movement of water. In my landscapes and still life works I like to emphasize the play of light as it hits a focal point. I like to paint in oil because I can achieve this sense of light and motion by glazing over layers, as well as in oil I can achieve a richness that I find limiting in other mediums. Pol Ledent - I am a self-taught artist. I was born in Belgium o, 23rd October 1952. I started painting in 1995 . I took some drawing lessons in the art academy in Dinant. I try to paint the landscapes of the countryside where I am living : the southern part of Belgium. Firts I took part in many collective exhibitions . Than, I had personal exhibitions in Rochehaut (Galerie La Potele), in Dinant (Galerie L'impression), in Paris (Rive Gauche Galerie Artimus) in Brussels (Galerie G-Loft).In 2004, I had three exhibitions, again In Rochehaut, galerie La Potele in May. Then, in September Exhibition Libr'art in Libramont. In November, Galerie Impression in Dinant. What people like most in my paintings are the colours. Daniela Isache - Expressionism is my way to show the world as I see it. Since I was young, I looked at the world differently from my friends. I saw a strange world, wondering why the other people did not see it like me. The world I saw was unjust and made of unhappiness. Looking profoundly at the people's faces, I found them very expressive and I was stroked by their strange traits. I have never seen beautiful or ugly faces but only very expressive ones. Then, I began to paint these faces and I met my future love - Expressionism. At that time, I discovered and understood that the expressionist painting could express the life as I see it. I applied my Expressionism without making any concession to the beautiful or decorative painting. I applied it with force and sometimes with despair. However, when finishing a painting I felt released. I felt as if all my pain and troubles came out of my life. The dramatic motifs I found in everyday life created insurmountable interrogations and tensions. James Hill - My work explores the use of color and rhythm to create moving images that seek to provoke a particular mood or emotion by invoking a memory or moment that is meaningful to the viewer. My latest works include a study of the massive power inside thunderstorms and lightning strikes including a 6x10 oil of a storm entitled Tempest. George Grant - In my works I try to mold invisible ideas into visible forms. Merging of the invisible and visible in surreal themes and objects, or in coded geometrical shapes in my art is the way I establish the purpose of breaking through the conventional statuses of material life, into the dream world of human subconscious, where the infinite universes are hiding. So the objects and beings in my works are often appearing as symbols pointing to that which can hardly be talked about in words, allowing the viewer to get the hunch on deeper non-verbal level.
