I combined an evening hillside with our backyard in the morning. I wanted to capture that mysterious feeling that Carlos Castaneda calls the crack in the world in his books on Don Juan.
But when my sister-in-law saw the painting she immediately exclaimed, I know that place! Its a cherry orchard I just saw two days ago in Wisconsin!
The painting is covered with Soluvar varnish for preservation and the edge is painted in thick antique gold to finish the painting and render a frame unnecessary.
