Artwork Description:
I am fond of these lovely graceful birds and I love how they parade around the river bank. They are like neighbors and look in our windows to see what we are eating! They seem to love us because they are so friendly. Sand Hill Cranes mate for life and bring out a new little chick every year. Naturally as with all babies they turn gangly looking until they turn beautiful again and leave their parents when they get kicked out of the nest! I used oil paints and oil sticks on linen canvas on this 24 x 36 gallery wrapped linen canvas. Painted on the sides.
