Artwork Description:

Grumman J2F Duck World War II Aviation Art Print What was the greatest airplane of WWII? Well if you were an downed airman and spent several days adrift at sea the answer might be the airplane that rescued you. The Grumman Duck was one such plane. This print shows a model J2F-2 Duck depicted in the colorful markings of Marine Squadron VMS-3 circa 1940. The squadron was based in the Virgin Islands and performed "Neutrality Patrol" along with search and rescue duties before the US entered the war. This unsung hero is shown passing over a serene island beach as she heads out on patrol. This beautiful Giclee print measures 16" x 24" and is signed by the artist. Our Giclee prints are printed on Somerset Velvet paper with Epson Ultrachrome professional archival inks. The image is printed on paper with an extra 1" border to allow for matting or framing. The Grumman J2F Thunderbolt aviation art print ships flat. The print is wrapped in brown paper, sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard, wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a cardboard box. Thus, we always offer individualized attention to each client for every purchase however small or large it may be. We treat all our clients with great attention and care.
