  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Sanjoy Rakshit - Nature is the almost topmost creators. And change is the nature of low. There changing are going on time to time, with the through every moment of step. Which moment is present, that will be past, after will be began new present time, with the new provisional. That feels need to sixth sense. In live to think, all kind of creativity are impressed with this. In huge moment, feels are lots of together, here ability of catching minimum, and this is depend on which is only in our in previous knowledge. My just as series is, spontaneous reflect of inner feelings & sense, which depend on timing .There can be something reality of present -past. Here appearance may would be supernatural atmosphere. There Lines & color able to reflect their own images , & language. So "Just As" trying to judge and define, the rhythmic flow & harmony of present sense, extraordinarily. THANKS. Rakshit ...

Alexandr Ivanov - OVERCOMING OF LONELINESS Painting as well as any present{true} art is improbably sensitive to an essence of time, its{his} secrets, fears, hopes aEUR| the Rhythm of an epoch, its{his} power, always D1/2DuD3/4ND3/4D*D1/2DdegD1/2D1/2D3/4 are reflected in music, the literary statement, is freakish and D?D3/4N,DdegN'D1/2D1/2D3/4 leave traces on a canvas of the artist. Eve Thompson - "Painting is my way of expressing the joy of seeing. By organizing the play of contrasts and vivid colors, I can capture the feeling of intense sunlight. This moment of illumination is what I hope to convey to my viewers."...

Kees Van Eyck - My works of art express a metarealistic perception of our world, traditional in the history of Dutch painting. However, the source of my inspiration can also be found in European surrealism as well in American hyper-, and photo realism. In my collection Portraits of Icons of the post-war period of the 20th century I introduced the iconography of our era. These images of celebrities characterise movie-stars, media personalities plus inspirational individuals from the field of music, art, politics and philosophy. With these portraits I pay tribute to famous people with extraordinary gifts and talents, who influenced the development of mankind and left their mark on various fields during the 20th century. My perception of life on Earth is often depicted in a surrealistic manner. My attitude towards our environment is charged with criticism as well as hope for a better future. My paintings aspire to evoke the sense of beauty and to raise awareness of burning issues in todays world....

Terri Cabral - Artists Statement I am a painter of people, animals and the natural world. I strive in my painting to reveal the unique essence of each of my subjects through the distillation of light and color into recognizable form and substance. I continue to be greatly influenced by my uncle, Cuban Vanguardia painter Antonio Gattorno. He was known for his versatility and his ability to paint masterfully in a variety of styles. I am constantly experimenting with styles and developing my sense of versatility. ...

Elizabeth Chapman - Working as an abstract expressionist artist, I believe that the process of creating is much like the flow of life. For me the first mark, undercoating or brushstroke in a painting is often the hardest. From these first beginnings a dialogue is opened up in which I as the artist am compelled to find and follow the flow of the painting in a highly intuitive manner. Color and movement play a major role in my work, as do line and texture. There is much experimentation, exploring, discoveries of new avenues of expression and at best a child like playfulness. When all the elements come together in unison, the completion of the painting emerges bringing with it a quality of expression that has a life of it's own and is unique. "It brings me much joy just to be the brush in the Master Painter's hand and to realize that His creations are made to bring great joy to all. My paintings are a form of song, dance and praise in response to the beauty of life." -Elizabeth...

Seidai Tamura - Mary Hatch - Mary Hatch has had a strong interest in art beginning painting and art classes when she was twelve, and visiting the Dallas Museum of Art, and A The Chicago Art Institute regularly made an impression on her style by seeing famous paintings. She studied art at UT Arlington, and transferred in her junior year to the Architecture department from the Art department, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and is a Registered Texas Architect and Interior Designer. She additionally studied printmaking at TCU and the University of Dallas. Seeing other museums also created a great love for art including the Kimbell Art Museum, Louvre, Prada, Kunsthistorisches, Ufizzi, and The National Gallery. In the late 70s, she participated in multiple gallery art shows, university exhibits and Dallas WomanaEURtms Caucus of Art and Texas Visual Artist competitions. In the mid 80aEURtms she attended an Adams Middleton Gallery, Dallas, TX, art show for the abstract expressionist, Herbert Ferber, at his art exhibition. His vast canvases with sculptured facade inspired her to paint large. In the 90's, the New Mexico Series was inspired by the Southwest and multiple trips to Santa Fe, NM. During 2006-2009, she was painting seascapes ...

Iana Sophia - In my work I strive to create a fusion of traditional and experimental, figurative and abstract visions to arrive at a texture, an implication of a landscape, where the familiar dissolves into mostly impressionistic colour fields or configurations with physical, emotional or even cosmic ramifications. Iana Sophias art pulsates between the seen and envisioned, the figurative and abstract. Inspired by a mystical sensitivity and an appreciation of nature, these paintings draw the viewer into a place of contemplation, where the secrets of the work begin to unfold.A(c) DLS ...

Susan Cantor-Uccelleti - My Statement as an artist and what art means to me and effects my life aEURoeArt Heals Body and SoulaEUR Abstract Expressionism gives me the freedom to express my inner feelings and also how I see the world around me through color and movement. My paintings are my life on canvas which I hope to be able to share so others can see the beauty and the wonders around us. This gives me purpose to go on, to be able to create is to live. Painting has always been part of life, in my early years I painted what I was able to see, but now I paint my emotions. My life, as everyone, has had its ups and downs. Each of my paintings represent my moods and situations around me. When you first look at my art, you will see colors, but as you back up and study each painting, you will see something different. Each piece of my artwork has some part of me which I gratefully want to pass on to you. My work is all original, there are no copies or prints, each one of a kind. When I paint, I think colors, movement and balance, ...

Mijal Zachs - My work is a tautological investigation on painting. I started it while reflecting on the representation and simulation of reality, transforming the pictorical realm with the strategies of camuflage. Here, painting is not part of the context, but it's rather created as the support and is mediated by the interlocutor aEUR" the observer. The painting moves seducing the canvas and, as it advances, it copies itself in a mimetic manner and it represents itself as if it were a reflection. The mirror reproduces in a game of viewing, pretending to see itself but being someone else; a subtle vail that faces its condition of mask, guiding us towards reality....or maybe not. Through this investigation I have found different surroundings: from fabrics with given patterns, to tapistries, papers and woods. All of them have relinquished to me their condition and I have established with them a dialogue. The painting, loyal to its author, creates new strategies as it progresses and it developes through roads that intersect with each other and deliniate new trails. Its discourse moves forward with the aEURoeIaEUR being aEURoethe other.aEUR When I intervene without hiding the fabric's pattern, I develope an equilibrium that creates the ilusion ...
