James Hill - My work explores the use of color and rhythm to create moving images that seek to provoke a particular mood or emotion by invoking a memory or moment that is meaningful to the viewer. My latest works include a study of the massive power inside thunderstorms and lightning strikes including a 6x10 oil of a storm entitled Tempest. These new paintings reflect the change in the weather patterns throughout our world thanks to global warming, which no well-educated person can deny these days. Lisa Reinke - Recognize yourself, someone, everyone and no one in my faces - celebrate color in the shape of a nose, the curve of the ears, the mask of the eyes, and the lines of the lips and hair. Most of all remember the humanity in humanity. The human face inspires me. As humans, we respond to its image beyond all others. For all its familiarity, we rarely pause to consider the face as a visual form, something more than the recognition of a friend or an interaction with a stranger. I paint the face in ways to cause the viewer to reconsider its splendor and renew faith in all things human. Colors and sunlight playing across faces remind me of our connection to the universe and symbolize eternal and fleeting moments simultaneously. Chris Jehn - I am primarily a self taught artist and have always felt creative. I worked my way through college by teaching crafts at an arts and crafts store, everything from embroidery and macrame to tole painting and pottery. I have taken numerous workshops from other practicing artists. Being with a group of other artists creates a synergy that inspires me. I now primarily work with acrylics and collage. I especially love intense color, and have made a study of color composition. Carlos Pereira Da Silva - Carlos Pereira da Silva began painting about 1986 but the first works were presented for the first time in public exhibitions, in 1991. Since then he continuously participate in group and individual art exhibitions. We can count 60 by now. Most of his works belong to private collections in Portugal, Germany, Swiss, Denmark, Belgium, France, USA. C. Pereira da Silva was invited by the Mayor of the city of Setubal to participate on the construction and painting of a giant mural to commemorate the 200Th year of the death of the great portuguese poet, Bocage.
