Artists Describing Their Art:
Michael Arnold - Art for me is a creative release, therefore I have no boundaries in my work. I work on what moves me spiritually, visually and creatively. I enjoy many different styles including impressionism, pop art, abstract expressionism, naturalism, post-impressionism, art deco and contemporary. All of these styles influence my work, but do not define my style. I primarily work in acrylics, but have produced works in pastels, graphite, charcoal colored pencils and ink. Kaiser Kamal - I consider my self experimental- conceptual artist .Where meaning is not absolute but suggestive. I am constantly drawing and planning .Sometimes the drawings are left in the sketchbook and other times they develop into more in-depth ideas and detailed images. I raise them in me. I may go to sleep with an idea or may wake up in the morning with a new composition. My subject matter is about people's daily experience , human and nature. My influences are first and foremost everything I see, feel and experience. In my work I try to create multiple layers .I felt that a combination of multiple layers gives deeper meanings to a painting. The process is an internal one, inspired by personal experiences and imagination. Throughout my career I have worked in many different media: drawing, painting, photography ,sculpture Mural and large scale scroll painting , Video. My latest body of work combines processes. and experience in deferent technique. I have use mixed media -like acrylic, tea dust, permanent marker,3d paint, Black gesso etc. Instead of explaining a certain piece of work - I wanted it to be ~ hopefully it can speak for itself and whatever it says to the viewer - it...
Jo Mari Montesa - Of all the gifts God gave to man the finest is his free will. Second to life itself. It is the essence of man. It is what separates man from all the other creatures of God. By ones choice or action he is judged if he is worthy to be called the man created by God. The child of free will is art. It is man's self-expression. It is synonymous to freedom of expression. Every art is unique since every man is unique. How man perceives art is also unique as how man perceives beauty. As how man perceive life. Art is like life. It all depends to the person's perception. Truly beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. The gauge of how beautiful life is, depends uniquely to every man. A professor of mine once walked in the streets of Manila during summer. It is very hot, humid and dusty. He noticed a very old beggar asking for coins to the passers while bathing to the heat of the sun all day. Beside the beggar was a newspaper stand. One tabloid headline reads'Young Matinee Idol Commits Suicide." My professor stops for awhile and asks ...

Sharon Dickerson - Painting washes away the sweat, dust and chaos of my stressful working days, I am contented. Messing about with paint colors and fooling around with my creative side makes me happy. Right now, I am on a merry-go-round of exploration and experimentation. Trying different ways of seeing things, keeping my imagination from being restricted to a single approach, and getting carried away with the process of discovering something never done before. My art is freedom, it's my feelings and my victory, my mood. My moods generally move me beyond the safe comfort zone. I'm searching for variety, and I revel in the excitement of discovery and love experimenting with the future possibilities. ...
