Artists Describing Their Art:

Denise Seyhun - The glowing energy of waves and the foaming seas captivate my soul, and as a result my seascapes, waterfalls, and riverscapes bare witness to my love and admiration for the force and elegance of bodies of water. Main character in my oil paintings is water, which deeply fascinates me, not only as true beauty but also with its transparent colors reflecting in constant motion. As an artist my purpose is to accomplish the portrayal of the emotional tones and depths of shades of truth that are displayed in continuous movement. For this particular reason the unseen and untold dimensions that the undertones and the overtones of bodies of water allow me to experiment with a wide array of colors on my palette. Consequently, my goal is to never repeat myself in my artistic journey as I continue to play with many shades of reflections in water until I have compiled a finite collection of all shades of water....

Dwayne Mitchell - Art or Portrait painting to me is to capture a moment in time, weather it happy or sad, it can hold a special feeling for ages, and bring to memory what was going through your mind at that exact time. it can make you cry or laugh... like watching a movie with no words...and that is what I want people to get out of my work....

Elisaveta Sivas - I am an artist working with different medium like clay, oil on canvas, ink pen on paper. I am also interested in fashion and theatre costume. My art is concentrated on women world and feelings. It is very emotional and delicate, but at the same time it is much spontaneous. Through shapes and lines I explore inner self, our world, Universe connections and interactions. My animals are kind and magic. My horses are carrying pomegranates on their back. They want to bring positive energies to our world. My wish is to add magic, to bring positive mood, to search for sophisticated lines and shapes, to enlighten our life with good vibrations. I love nature and animals, I am concerned about our planet. I am trying to lead more natural life, to grow my own food, to recycle and to care about the world. My best award is when my buyer is happy with my art. When I make people happy, I am happy myself....

Paola Di Renzo - Born in Abruzzo, I live and work in Sardinia .Pure amateur artist,I used to work with paper, mainly magazine paper, sand, acrylic and tempera.Nowadays I look for the pleasure of playing with colours with which I try to express feelings and emotions. If I was able to express in words what I try to convey with colours.......I would be a writer!...

Kerry La Mountain - I am drawn to events and images that are powerful. The human spirit that is challenged oftentimes becomes fragile and small. I want to convey the emotion of the situation through the figures in relation to their surroundings. Cosmos Series My work explores my love of abstraction, and finds inspiration in the incredible power and beauty of the universe, its colors, light, and mystery. My inspiration came from brightly colored photographs of galaxies, star nebula, and comets, as well as the theoretical shape of the universe and time. This series, entitled, Cosmos, explores translucent painting surfaces, such as glassine paper, acetate paper and plexiglass, as well as various methods of paint application in order to achieve various effects. The transparency is important in that the viewer can look deeper into the work, the light can shine through it and allow for viewing from both sides. I am working with formal concerns, such as composition and figure/ground relationships. I want the composition to bring about the feeling of chaos within a mysterious order. Darfur, Sudan Series The conflict in the Darfur region of Sudan in 2004 was a horror. Many people had to flee from certain death from militia groups. ...

Joshua Polk - Joshua Polk is a native of Atlanta, GA. He is an aspiring artist making a strong leap onto the art world. His early work revolved around portraits as he was intrigued with connecting with his fan base. His steady persistence and dedication led to an amazing evolution of his work. The artwork is a strong blend of figures and emotion. The strong emotions are captured in the most intense of movements, matched with the most dynamic of colors, creating wonderful stories. Other work explores the modern world, the struggle of politics and life. Not only does every art piece have a story but every piece also has a motive. Through the course of JoshuaaEURtms exploration the meaning has evolved; still every piece captures the inherent internal beauty of art but still presents a strong message to viewers....

Joshua Polk - John Cielukowski - I received my BA in Fine Arts from Montclair University in New Jersey in 1981. I also studied at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) and The Art Students League in New York City. I enjoy painting vintage amusement park scenes, farm animals, domestic and feral felines and industrial landscapes. With my paintings of farm animals I try to convey that these animals have the same depth of emotion, feel joy and suffer just like our domesticated pets do. I donate my paintings and prints to local non-profit Central Florida groups such as (Save The Manatee Club, The Brevard Achievement Center, The Space Coast Feline Network and the Humane Society of Central Brevard) for their fund-raising efforts. I also donate to national animal welfare groups like Farm Sanctuary, in Woodstock, NY. I am an active member of the Central Brevard Art Association. I am responsible for hanging artwork at one of our aEURoeArt in Public SpacesaEUR locations....

Cathy Savels - Nature as art, in absolute detail. A never ending paradox that tears me from reality. Everything has a spirit, a voice that needs to be listened to. Creativity is my passion. This was the journey of my childhood, as I watched my father create wonderful furniture in wood and observed my mother sewing beautiful garments with fabrics. When I search for inspiration, I look over the vineyards surrounding my studio in south-west France and ideas engulf me. Dreams evolve into reality, midnight sketches become my driving force. Before my canvas, I see the world through a lens. I'm interested in what escapes me. ...

Nikolay Sivenkov - "My inspiration comes from nature, sea, wildlife, especially lizards and insects, environmental concern, also emotional expression and the exploration of LIFE, PEOPLE, astronomy, capturing the essence of time." The artist Sivenkov Nikolay The member of International Federation the Artists UNESCO....

Kimmie Hamm - Everywhere you dream to go can become a part of you and everywhere you have been is a part of you. I am an explorer and optimist at heart, so when I set out to create something one word always comes to mind: Possibilities I feel that through art I can explore the visions in my mind, everything from a small flower or blade of grass to distant worlds filled with whimsy and thoughts of what ifaEUR|aEUR|. Culturally I have two aspects that influence me one being my Native American ancestry and the other my German immigrant ancestry. I am deeply rooted in the beauty and wonderment of nature. My wise grandmother told me if you have strong roots your sprit can fly anywhere and still return home. That saying has always stuck with me and in many ways sparked my imagination. The explorer in me must come from my immigrant ancestry. My great grandfatheraEURtms family traveled to America on a steam ship in 1874. I can imagine them traveling for what must have seemed like an eternity. I often contemplate what they must have been thinking, and try to express the excitement of the unknown and the anticipation ...
