Shoshannah Brombacher - Art makes the world within the artist visible. Classical music, poetry, Jewish and Chassidic stories, traveling, the love for people and memories of eras gone but not forgotten, cities where I lived and worked, like Amsterdam, Berlin, Jerusalem, New York, or visitedm, lie Prague and Sicily, are the main ingredients of my art. My art is like the water of the canals of my native Amsterdam, Rembrandts city, the deeper you look into it, the more you see. A reflection of a reflection of a reflection...look, what you see is not what you see. My art contains texts and letters, lets writing come alive, and reflects my deep connection with the Dutch 17th century Masters, German expressionism, Russian art and medieval miniatures. My art is also a tribute to music and the world of the great Chassidic masters of Eastern Europe. Roz Zinns - Roz Zinns has been involved in art for the last 40 years, from oil painting to weaving to contemporary art quilts. Her work has been displayed nationally and has been reproduced in US and international publications. She majored in Arts Administration and owned a San Francisco gallery specializing in original art and quality artisan crafts. Recently she has come full-circle, back to painting, and is enjoying the creativity and challenge of working in acrylics and water-immersible oils She has always had a love of the land which is evident in her work. Although she is currently focusing on landscapes, she is finding that the compositional element of land in an urban environment has become a fascinating study for her. She also loves to travel and has been interpreting her images on to canvas. She has observed that over the years many of the places she has painted either don't exist anymore or have changed drastically in their usage or appearance. Nikica Cvrljak - Coming from a family of artists, I have painted since my childhood. One part of my work, both painting and photography, is inspired by the region where I live. It is coastal part of my country with its Mediterranean light. I usually paint in oil, pastels, watercolors and I do drawings in pencil. I do both color photography and black and white for which I still use film roles. I dont have a habit of explaining my work as I think that painting and photography are felt in a way that goes beyond language. Doing both painting and photography gives me a satisfaction. Mert Ulcay - Mert Ulcay was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1974. After studying to obtain a Bachelor of Economics in Istanbul, he moved to Italy and successfully completed a Masters Degree in International Economics and Management in Milan. He started his painting studies in 1996 with Mehmet Guleryuz (one of Turkey's leading contemporary painters) at his Bilsak Atelier in Istanbul. He moved Sevinc Altan in 2000, who was a former assistant to Mehmet Guleryuz, opening two exhibitions with her atelier. His works were chosen by the Cagdas Sanat Committee in 2001, for an exhibition with other "up and coming artists" at the Contemporary Art Center in Istanbul. In 2003, he participated in the "International Art Action for Peace" exhibition, with several leading painters in Turkey and moved to Stuttgart, Germany, where he now lives and works, painting from his own atelier. Mert Ulcay's paintings can be described as being emotional, somewhat introvert and very figurative.
