By the way I am not a workaholic as I don't consider what I do work. I enjoy life too much. I forgot to say I am also a weight lifter as lifting weights is my Zen. When I am troubled the concentration it takes to lift makes me calm. I guess my page will probably be a little different from what people expect. Sorry I have not been uploading new work as ...
Luminita Gliga - My connections with the art are natural and real. I feel lucky that I chose art or art had chosen me in order to express. Thus, painted image is a form of communicating with people. Basically, as a professional artist, I am interested in everything that have direct relevance to contemporary life. My work explores a new world of shapes and colors in a personal composition. The essence of each painting is the connection between the subject matter and myself. My painting more concerns itself with the vague territory between abstraction and the known and seen world. Since I was a student at The Art University in Bucharest I got used to follow some steps from my paintings - a theoretical documentation, sketches and in the end starting the work. Apocalypse, Ephesus, Nestatornik, Autobiography in images, Terravision are some of my experiments of non-figurative paintings using the acrylics. ...

Younhee Yang - "My goal always was to make people wonder, to remind them, and to have them ask themselves questions." The development of my topics required me to move away from only painting and include the third dimension into my artistic work. I am planning more public works connected to space, such as installations, or time, such as contemporary Art Video. I want to explore the reactions of the passer-by and the impact that the messages of my work may have on them. Unfortunately, temporary installations are very fleeting and only the pictures as documentation stay. That is why I also plan to start working with sculptures, which are much more permanent. I also want to explore more about how Germany with its people and its contemporary art dealt with the separation and subsequent reunification. One of my interests here is about what problems and scars still have to be overcome. I will further develop those ideas. My current projects revolve around the exploration of humankind itself: human behavior, feelings, and mind. My artwork is all interconnected, be it painting, installation, or video-art. In the future I hope to completely intertwine these different modes of art and use them all...

On Curacao just as in Hungary and Austria the beauty of the country, nature and population enchanted me and it shows in my works all the passion, the harmony and the beauty which I've never been able to stop looking for. Valerie Hoffmann - ARTIST'S STATEMENT: "Having a traditional art background and trained in the exacting disciplines of architectural design, I strive to explore new freedoms in interpreting form in terms of the organic shapes and elements found in nature. I prefer to use paint in a manner which best reflects the tapestry of the many textures exhibited in the earth's landscape. I apply color as a means to unite these features and to show relationships between the vividness and subtleties expressed in every part of our environment, and yet attain visual harmony." ...
Larsen Lena - At the vanity, chasing the dream that is often just a mirage, tired with stress and permanent search, at the stream of rushing days and years we sometimes stand motionless for a while seeing something beautiful: open flower, spring dusk, the picture that suddenly attracted our attention. It is possible that such abstractions and revelations are the main meaning of art. After all, the artist's brush can really fix the time, place, and mood, and capture for a moment our mind, tossing between past and future, and thus awake our feelings and thoughts......
Eric Korbly - Artist Statement INFINITY The night sky has been a constant source of inspiration for me since childhood. The notion of the endless expanse and the mystery of the unknown coupled with the infinite possibilities that the universe holds has captured my imagination on a creative and intellectual level. "Infinity" is my first major series of works developed since my series of paintings titled "Oil Well Fires" produced while earning my B.A. in Art from California State University at Humboldt in 2006. Consisting of oil on canvas, Infinity explores a visual interpretation of "events" in space, drawing from my youthful imagination and ongoing interest in all things scientific as well as my formal training as a painter from a contemporary perspective. What this series conveys is an abstraction of a limitless reality. The compositions are comprised of explosions of color and form and movement of light. The darkest pool of black space are speckled with fragments of light-filled stars. They are a representation of my connection to and reverence for the great mysteries of the universe. Sheila Fraga - Woman figure is the main theme of this exhibition entitled "Hope." Woman body has been an inspirational and interest motive for many artists in the Art History. I had intended to take this concept in order to reflect not only the woman beauty and sensuality but also to incorporate my own living experiences within the history frame that my generation had lived. I would like to establish a dialogue between the audience and my paintings to provoke controversy and interest toward concepts of identity, spirituality and love. Characters portray feelings of love, defiance, meditation, hope, and encourage the spectator to dream. Nudity is not used to identify woman figure as a sex symbol but a bearer of feelings, spirituality, expressiveness and determination to pursue happiness and new ideas in the social scenario. The use of celestial settings depicted In the skies and clouds are implemented to reflect spirituality and its interaction with daily life. Techniques such as oil, pastel and cut-out are present in my paintings and drawings as a mean to transmit emotions and expressiveness. It's creativity that strives me to seek new ways of expression to materialize my work. To create multiple scenarios with the only...
