Brian Aurelio Piccini - I have always been a strong believer that to enjoy life to it`s fullest one must take the time to stop and'smell the roses'. Theodore Kennett Raj - About Theodore As a visual artist I follow my own muse. My visual narrative paintings and pen drawings reflect fanciful subjects and situations depicted with explosions of colour and textures. I have spent most of my working life in the fashion industry . Previously I have exhibited my work at eca bar in Darlinghurst, Sydney, NSW which atrracted enthusiastic commentry from the fusion of creative locals of the area. In 2007 I was invited to join a group exhibition at Tap gallery in Sydney which was received with great enthusiasm. I relocated to to the northen rivers region of NSW. Michael Griesgraber - In my recent "X Squared" Series I combine vibrant colors with the ideas espoused by the Color Field "school" artists whose paintings are characterized primarily by large fields of flat, solid color spread across the canvas creating areas of unbroken surface and a flat picture plane. The Color Field movement placed less emphasis on gesture, brushstrokes and action in favor of an overall consistency of form and process. In this respect the colors are freed from objective context and become the subject itself. I also find, generally speaking, musical notes and colors have a common attribute. Musical notes are as individual as colors. Both have a primitive charm that flows through the brain to inundate our emotions. Colors, like musical notes, stimulate certain moods. Combinations of colors like music can evoke joy, excitement, fear, anger - any number of emotions - while the used of geometry in my paintings provides balance and stability just as music uses structure to create melody and harmony. It should be obvious that the X Squared Series paintings are more akin to jazz than classical music in their construction and composition. As the Hans Hofmann wrote, "The world comes to us through the mystic realm of color. ...
Patricia Benitez - A slightly sadistic need to repulse fuels me. I work by manipulating darkness, anatomy, and mood. I distort the human body in ways that have caused reactions of disgust and discomfort. I present a darkened reality, which I force my viewers to face. I use my work as an expression of my desire to manipulate emotions, to perplex, to overwhelm....
Johnny G - Born and raised in San Francisco, California, in the heart of the Haight-Ashbury, Johnny Garcia was influenced by his community and cultural revolution that was taking place. Free love and true expression. These teachings created the perfect foundation for living and exploring his artistic abilities open-heartedly. Johnny had always been interested in the arts as an onlooker, but it wasn't until the year 2000 that he became active in the arts by working as both a freelance photographer and as an assistant to an internationally-recognized artist who, at one point, suggested that Johnny try painting. By picking up the paintbrush and putting it to paper he reconnected to what he had experienced as an artistic child - a deep passion and joy in putting paint to papercanvas. Painting thus became a hobby for Johnny which has since grown into a fulfilling career. Combining Healer with Painter In 2007 - Johnny's gifts of being a medium, channel and healer opened up and he consciously began co-creating with the highest vibrations of Source Energies, interpreting his experience through different modalities such as painting, music, voice and writing. Each piece of artwork carries Universal Light force and complete unconditional ...

Mima Stajkovic - The world I live in today is filled with the most amazing secrets. Personal secrets that cannot be told, those little thoughts that shape your personality and intimacy. Every secret have reason, every reason have shape, influence and interaction. My goal is to recognize each of them with the respect that they deserve. Bringing them to light in full color, making them touchable and visible, I get better understanding of individuals, their apprehension and shame, their desire and potential. While working on a painting over weeks, sometimes months, I found that acrylic on canvas give me the best opportunity to quickly catch my thoughts. Starting with real world and images I continue to explore with symbols and colors emphasizing my impression. The finished work may not resemble the original idea but I always get to know something new during this enjoyable process. In the latest series of paintings I am playing with women's emotions, her fears and wishes developing relations with other people. When people see my work, I'd like them to feel my thoughts and get chance to agree or not with me, but in any way to think about motives that every woman has developing emotional ...
Lynne Friedman - Friedman seeks the dramatic and poetic grandeur of nature in paintings inspired by the Hudson Valley and such varied terrains such as the Arizona desert, coast of Cornwall, England and the High Sierras. Her process incorporates exacting essence from a location by seeking to explore its emotive properties, personal responses and exploring the formal concerns of light, color, and the tactility of paint....
Vanessa Bernal - Artist's statement: My earliest childhood memories are those of painting with my grandfather and frequently visiting the Art Institute of Chicago where we would spend countless hours together. He taught me that everything we come in contact with has the potential of becoming a work of art. My grandfather and I would take walks together to hunt for "treasures" of discarded objects that later he would turn into beautiful collages and assemblages. It is those lessons I carry with me and -today- in my work I see his influence. I have never been comfortable with expressing myself verbally. I am not one to strike up a conversation with a stranger, nor do I feel comfortable speaking to a group of people. Visual expression comes naturally to me; it is through this means I can best communicate with others and feel the most comfortable. At a young age I became aware of the injustices being perpetrated in the world and was deeply disenchanted with the political process as a means of creating effective change in our global community. For me, becoming an artist was inevitable. Through the visual arts not only did I communicate my life's passions, my fears, ...
Tatyana Leksikova - Painting is something I really love to do. Now it is the most important part of my life. I love colors, enjoy playing with them, mixing them, putting them together. I feel them like music. And the main thing I would like to express in my work is that the life is full of the beautiful moments. I hope people enjoy my paintings as much as I do creating them. ...
Daniela Isache - Expressionism is my way to show the world as I see it. Since I was young, I looked at the world differently from my friends. I saw a strange world, wondering why the other people did not see it like me. The world I saw was unjust and made of unhappiness. Looking profoundly at the people's faces, I found them very expressive and I was stroked by their strange traits. I have never seen beautiful or ugly faces but only very expressive ones. Then, I began to paint these faces and I met my future love - Expressionism. At that time, I discovered and understood that the expressionist painting could express the life as I see it. I applied my Expressionism without making any concession to the beautiful or decorative painting. I applied it with force and sometimes with despair. However, when finishing a painting I felt released. I felt as if all my pain and troubles came out of my life. The dramatic motifs I found in everyday life created insurmountable interrogations and tensions. I became calm, but when I looked at my painting, I saw there fear, sorrow and I understood that my Expressionism saved me. Some people ...
Steve Miller - I have drawn and painted ever since I can remember. Pencil was always my favorite. I spent many hours as a child with a pencil and a piece of typing paper. In my late teens, I began to airbrush images on vans, motorcycle tanks, and T-Shirts. Later, I began creating illustrations for publications, and then on to creating graphics and animation on the computer for various companies/clients. Making a living seems to consume most of my time, but when things get slow or I find I have some extra time on my hands, the canvas seems to have an irresistible pull. One day a friend of mine, mentioned that he was going out and painting small plein air paintings. I told him I'd like to go along sometime. We set a time in the late spring a few years back and I borrowed an easel and we hit the Texas countryside. We painted 3 small paintings throughout the day and I loved it. It was such a relief to get away from the computer screen and play with color. Now I take my easel with me when ever I travel and paint every chance I get. Since ...
Stephen Fessler - Artist's Statement: Visionism All my images are born accidentally. I tack my studio dropcloths onto the wall once they've become sufficiently splattered with paint, and search the surface for suggestions. I'll discover an image within a tangle of marks, and paint to free it, an archaeologist unearthing an artifact. This process leads to related discoveries, and the more I find, the better I understand the space they inhabit, and a painting is underway. In this way does the painting gradually reveal its content and mood. Everything I like of the art I've seen, Eastern and Western, ancient and modern, sacred and profane, ends up in my work. It must be that, as I gaze at my randomly stained surfaces, these remembered images give clues as to what to look for. The larger canvases are free-hanging, fitted with grommets and intended to be tacked directly to the wall like a tapestry or banner. Smaller works on canvas are mounted and stretched so as to preserve their irregular edges. Stephen Fessler Artists' Statement: Directed Perception My mode of seeing changes when something has caught my attention. My "directed perception" chooses what I will see while obscuring everything...
