Artwork Description:

The Rapa-Nui Exclusive Selection. Selecci�n Exclusiva del Isla de Pascua. Easter Island Exclusive Selection. Claudio A. Batista Diaz from Chile, who is born on Easter Island and director Torben Cornelius have encouraged me to make a Rapa-Nui Exclusive Selection. On 22 May 2003 we had a fruitful conversation in "Lille Fejringhus" about the island and especially the Rapa-Nui culture, legends and mythology. Thanks to Claudio and Torben. My further studies have been based on Claudio's recommendations and the keywords we derived from our conversation. This art work is inspired from Rapanui petroglyphs - art carved in rocks - especially from a motif of a deeply carved shark with a smaller shark inside located on a flat lava flow inland at Anakena Beach, where the Easter Island's first settlers, Hotu Matu'a and his family, are believed to have landed - and from wondering
