Artwork Description:
This painting gives homage to Jules Levebure, who painted the original in 1875 and now hangs in the Young and Jackson Hotel, Melbourne Australia. 'Chloe in Noosa' has been reborn via my brush, and she now visiting Noosa in Queensland, wearing thongs and carrying a beach towel. I have placed her in the heart of Noosa's magical vitas in front of Laguna Bay, overlooking the North Shore and away from the southern chill. I painted Chloe in Noosa because I had always admired the original and Noosa's connection with Melbourne, via its seasonal residents, who move here or visit during the winter months.
