Artwork Description:
"If a mancan paint a landscape, and convey into souls and ochre all the enchantments of spring or autumn; it is certain that the secret cannot be kept; the first witness tells it to a second, and men go by fives and tens and fifties to his doors." The sentimental quotation from words of Ralph Waldo Emerson prompted me to create this piece of work based on my experience being in Berlin and passing through countryside across Germany and the Netherlands a couple of times. The enchanting tales of autumn in verses of poetry and in lyrics of song had lured me to come in contact with it to experience its reality. Glorious were the woods in their latest gold and crimson, yet the full-leaved willows were in the freshest green. My very soul was wedded to such an ambiance!
I couldnt leave behind the images of the farm houses for the episode would be incomplete without them. They presented shapes to balance my composition and to symbolize human activities that were significant to elaborated episode.
I stand by my principle that art is a medium of expressionfree to express in any form, colour, or style. Here I exploit colours and style to create the form in order to bring about the mood of autumn I rarely encounter in my life time. I want to sense the experience of being there physically and spiritually and create this beyond-ordinary piece of painting. Here I feel free to wander with my imagination and use the freedom of creativity to the utmost in colour and form.
