Artwork Description:

Burano Afternoon is an acrylic landscape painting showing two-point perspective buildings on a street overlooking the canal on Burano island in Venice, Italy. The forground shows a boat in a canal with wavy reflections. On the right is a surreal-like shadow in shades of green. The plaza in front of the building has thick yellow/red/orange brushstrokes. The sky has wavy blue lines which echo the reflection in the water. These smoothly blended lines of blue radiate from the buildings below. Interesting details show hanging laundry and shutters on buildings.
