Artwork Description:

Collection of Mr. Rick Blume, President, Chronicle TV, NYC, NY. In the Wiccan Faith, there is no devil. The Horned One represents Nature as its male element and is seen as a productive and fertile force, not an evil one. As a Folklorist, this concept began to intrigue me in the early 1970s, and I have come to realize that evil, as a force, comes from with the human mind, not from without it. Unfortunately, evil is an energy that can be strong enough to lead people (through their free will) to choose hurtful, harmful actions. Moreover and in todays world, technology has advanced far beyond the humans to evolutionary ethics; That is one reason we have art. People of different religions would benefit if they stopped fighting each other and turned that energy into finding their common grounds. For example, Christianity and Wiccans (or Neo-Pagans or Contemporary Witches) have much in common, especially since Christianity borrowed most of its major Holidays and Traditions from the Old Ways.
