Artwork Description:

This large canvas is religious in nature and depicts Saint Peter's Church and St Bartholomew's Church in Brighton. The night sky is awash with stars and is clearly inspired by Van Gogh's painting of the same name. Jim did a series of thirteen large paintings, each with these two churches, over a number of years in the 1980s.
