Artwork Description:

Honu or turtles are a bridge between the land and the sea. In Hawaiian culture the Honu also is considered a tie from past to present and are thought to be good luck in any presentation in the home. The four honu represented in my painting are taken from petroglyphs that can be found on several islands in the Hawaiian chain. Kahiko Hookahis (Anchient Ones)
