Artwork Description:
Canang are those delicate offerings Balinese women place in the temples, on statues or simply on the ground at the door of their house or shop - indeed, your first encounter with one will most probably be on the ground. They are made up mostly of small samples of rice, fragrant flowers and incense and are meant to appease the wrath of the deities and call for their protection and blessing.
