As with most of my works, this peice is an attempt to transmit the Buddhist concept of Prajna or Samadhi to the canvas. The work is a form of visual Haiku and similar in execution to the mental state used in constructing Japanese or Chinese Calligraphy. We have all heard the cliche, "be the ball", in Zen, BE-ing is a profound experience and one which the works attempt to relay.
