Inspired by a plein-air sketch.. in 1995 I visited Jane Block in the Northcliffe/Pemberton area of WA with my friend Kaf. This piece of forest was then under threat from logging and there were protests over the issue. Today I believe that patch is safe from felling.. thanks to the people who took time to speak for the trees.
