Artwork Description:

In 2009-2010, I was heavily involved in Amazonian shamanism. My maestro was telling me that his powers came from God and that the work we were doing would benefit all humanity. But that was not true, unfortunately. This painting symbolizes the difference between the way of shamanism and the way of natural spiritual life (the way God planned). I am in the boat with my partner, in the spiritual sea, between two shores. On the left shore, the shaman is using magic to bring me over to his side. But that side is barren (desert) and full of confusion symbolized by the psychedelic plants (salvia divinorum, ayahuasca, magic mushrooms). It is also the side of Egypt (esoteric knowledge, UFOs, worshiping forest spirits and other such things. The Christian cross lies on the ground as al of the activities there are anti Christian. The mermaid is a symbol for sexual allure and the dangerous appeal of the way of magic as spiritual practice (left hand path). On the right shore, nothing is drawing me in by force, but the beautiful nature is there, as well as the blue sky. The three giant fish are symbolic of the Holy Trinity, protecting me from the harm intended by the shaman, but at the same time
