Artwork Description:   This painting represents a manifestation the concept of turning a vice into a virtue. The morning I made this painting the heavens were threatening a storm. In fact by the time I got my materials together the sky already indicated its intentions, promising strong winds, lots of rain and perhaps lightning. A genuine storm. Maybe even snow. So I decided not to paint outdoors but rather to take a couple of quick photographs and do my work indoors. And this painting is the result. file 1218
