Tsvaygenbaum always loved flowers, but roses are his favorite. Tsvaygenbaum remembers that as a child that he liked to observe how roses grew day by day and how they changed in form. When he decided to create a painting about his childhood town Derbent, he wanted to surround it with beautiful roses. These roses reflect his love for that city. Roses is about Derbent.
