Artwork Description:   Allegory of modern life in Italy. A couple is making their evening walk (passeggiata) in a public space when they are suddenly confronted by a savage cinghiale (wild boar). In the background a young girl looks onto th scene, representing youth. The Cinghiale represents old Italy with Berlusconi and his political forces, the Church and its power, the mafia and other organized crime groups now thoroughly penetrating the business sector, political corruption and institutional reigidity. As per usual, the youth of Italy is left to fend for itself in a society increasingly closed to their interests.
