The goddess Kali, wife of Shiva. In Hindu culture Kali is the one who graves the Ego. Kali sticks her tongue out, thus burning the ego that each being possesses. Goddess of Death and Destruction, she wears the skulls of her victims on her neck. She attracts the death of the Ego as the illusory and egocentric vision of reality. Kali reminds us that we are the eternal and not the corporeal matter. This goddess is intrinsically linked to Vedic arts and rituals, since symbolism and spirit come together in a religious, mystical combination.
