Artwork Description:
This painting is about MANY things, but primarily the Vietnam War. The admiral with no eyes speaks of the war in the visual language of hermetic cubism. Yes, that is the coast of Florida. Exhibited in Evansville, Indiana, Oct. 1-3, 1999, in conjunction with the 3-day display of the traveling, 34-sized replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D. C. The artist is a Vietnam veteran, U. S. Navy, in-country, 1969-70.
