Artwork Description:

William Pynchon wasnt all bad, but he did exploit American Indians and American beavers in the 1600s near Agawam, now Springfield, Massachusetts. He arrived in Massachusetts Bay in 1630, made a lot of money exploiting and intimidating the vulnerable, Indian and Englishman alike, and was hounded out of the colonies in 1651 over his theological challenge to orthodox Calvinist doctrine. In the painting, the beavers take their revenge. In my work the falling feather is always a symbol relating to American Indian culture of death. Pynchon appears unmoved, as are most perpetrators when summoned for final justice.
