You are looking through a glass thats blocked off in the concave surfaces of squares. But what is it that you are looking at? The play between the abstract fields of texture and the hints of a Surreal landscape is heightened in this painting. If everything else is seen through the glass, how do we have the glassy, beady pinheads on this side of it? As if, its a giant jigsaw to solve it, you have to first accept that the blocks arent as square as they may seem.
