Artwork Description:
Ezra Pound was an American poet who lived in Italy during WWII. He agreed with Mussolini and was the Tokyo Rose of Europe. He attracted very little attention because he was considered a bad poet. An American politician went to Italy, heard a broadcast and had Pound extradited and prosecuted. Ezra plead insanity and spent 12 years in a posh mental institution drinking wine and writing poetry. His mistress would often spend time with him enjoying the lush grounds and visiting with other poets. He is my idol.
