Artwork Description:

This is a painting in the old Dutch tradition of my native country. I admire the Masters of the 17th century, I lived in a house built in 1690 for a while, and from time to time I feel I want to paint in this style. The painting you see here shows a Jewish wedding, and it contains elements of my own wedding in the Grand Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam, and also of the old shul of Leyden where I lived. I also painted interiors, portraits (e. g. of Rabbis) and townscapes in this style. This painting is sold, but I can make similar ones.
