Artwork Description:
Many medieval altar pieces showed the crown of thorns, the nails, the skull and dice, and often, Mary Magdalene holding the feet of the dead Savior. Here we have only Jesus' legs and pierced feet; the crown is multicolored; the nails coupled with current style hand grenades, which often held nails; the dice the Roman soldiers played for Jesus' seamless garment; the skull ever reminding us that Jesus, by His death, conquered death. We would like to have been Mary Magdalene so close to Jesus. These canvases are handbuilt and thick. They hang flush to the wall. They can be arranged any way the owner wishes to place them.
