Artwork Description:

A woman's task... This is a self portrait of my daily life, inspired by a small sketch by an unknown Australian artist. My grey cat wouldn't stay in place, each time I stepped away to photograph her, she followed me... So I painted my white cat (dead at the time) from a photograph I had. Later one day, as I needed to be photographed in position by my husband, Sama the grey cat took the exact position I needed her to take, intrigued by my long brush and looking up. My lovely cats are my daily companions in studio and kitchen alike, and it is only just that they would be in the picture. This portrait is indicative of what could be made for you should you like it.
