Artwork Description:
The title of the painting is HUXLEY’S PERCEPTIVE VASE, which was executed with Dutch Gouache on Arches Watercolor paper, Cold Press and 140 pound. Image size is 9 Inches high by 7 inches wide, or 22.860cm x 17.780cm. The unframed work on paper measures 10 inches high by 9 inches wide, or 25.400cm x 22.860cm. Inspiration for this work involved my study into the ancient laws of Hermes, which state that what is up is down and what is left is right and what is on the inside in also on the outside. The magic mushrooms of Huxley make dreams a very real experience. Duality becomes Unity. Color whispers to the shadows of blackness. Mysticism blossoms in the most mundane of places. Walt Disney’s experimentations with mescaline opened many doors of his visual mind’s eye, yet left his anti-Semitism intact in its black and white storybook of lies. The ancient Priestesses of Malta prepared a drink with mushrooms, and this libation enabled them to dance upon time in the starlight. Color begins to slowly mist within its stillness, and gelatin is a focal point for the matrix a heartbeat. Please note that this etching is shipped to the buyer without a frame or mat. This keeps the price reasonable and also allows the collector a wide range of choice in framing selection. For shipment, a sturdy cardboard box is employed. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping box and securely packed with bubble wrap. The price does not include any shipment cost.
