This painting is part of a group called “Point of Origin”. The collection tries to bring into visual images memories that populated the silences of jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe. It is a tribute to those people who could not find a voice to talk about the slow death of Yiddish culture and population. I took the name for the collection from Aharon Zeitlin’s poem “Point of Origin”.
